How can I get myself to feel the difference between mouse polling rates?

My G500 can go from 125Hz to 1000Hz for the polling rate, but I can't appreciate this feature because switching between them and drawing a bunch of lines in Paint, I don't see or feel much of a difference? What are some things I can do to really feel the difference? Am I doing something wrong?

Drawing in Paint would not use the higher rates. Those are designed for high end games deminding speed, smoothness, and accuracy. It also relates to your graphics capability. This is a pretty decent tutorial on the subject.
