So my teeth are a little discolored. Not yellow by any means, just discolored. I brush twice a day, floss every few days, and use Listerene. You guys have any good remedies on how to make me shine?

Correct. Teeth are not naturally white. They are naturally yellowish. People with really white teeth have had whitening work done.

Those whitening agents are bullshit. You have to consider the natural color of your teeth first and foremost. Most teeth aren't white but tinted to some degree. What you might think is stain may actually be your natural teeth color. No matter what whitening agents you use will not make it any whiter. You may just end up dissolving the enamel of your teeth to the point of no return thinking it will get whiter soon.

I'm happy with my popcorn teeth.

I've tried whitening strips, and the damn things are hard to keep on my teeth for the required half hour or however long it is. And you're supposed to use them once or twice daily. Meh...I smoke and drink coffee (bad combo) but my teeth have been naturally yellow since I was a kid. I don't care much anymore...I keep em clean and healthy, never had a cavity or anything so I'm satisfied.

Seeing your dentist for the more powerful stuff is the best way to go. The expensive part is getting a custom mold for your teeth.

I used the Crest White-strips and it got my teeth noticeably whiter. They stayed on my teeth easily. They only needed to be on for 15min twice a day so i just put them on during the ride to and from work. The only thing was that while I was using them, they did make my teeth more sensitive but after a week of me finish using them, it went away. That was 2 years ago and I am thinking of using them again.

I've used the Crest Whitestrips before, and they've helped (I have naturally dark teeth, then tea and coffee haven't helped at all). I have to say though, the 7 day made my teeth suuuuper sensitive just a few days in. My dentist told me that he's actually heard of fewer sensitivity problems with the 5-day. They'll still brighten your teeth (maybe not as much as the 7-day would), but they also have less of a sensitivity problem.

Healthy teeth don't have to be pure white. They can be 90% white and 10% yellow mix color also.

the overnight stuff you brush on..night effects works better than strips which get drooly quick
professional is best.
you can't brush whiteness, it needs to be bleached.
over brushing is bad as well.

The Sonic brushes aren't made for whitening per se, it's just supposed to be a more effective cleaning method.

My teeth are really white, even the dentist comments on them. But my secret is that I don't drink things like coffee.
