how can i get my network working?

i want to see my brothers computer (windows ME) and his computer to be able to see mine (win98). how can i set up a simple fileshare over the network (we're using a 3com hub to share internet as of now).

Enable Windows File sharing in the network properties of both computers. Make sure both computers are members of the same workgroup.

Are you running fire walls on any of the computers?

where do i find network properties?

Right click on My Network Places or Network Neighborhood on the desktop. Go to properties.
