How can I get my 9800 Pro to read my S-Video DV Camcorder?

Hello, I'm at a loss as to how to get my computer to read the Digital Video that is on my Canon ZR20. I dont have a firewire port, or the firewire cable, so I figured I'd try the S-Video cable that came with my 9800 Pro. Do I need some sort of software to be able to transfer the information from the camera to my computer?
Or is it just not possible?
Thanks!

The S-Video port on the video card is strictly for output. Unless you have a separate capture card (or if your 9800 Pro is an AIW, I guess), you won't be able to transfer the video to the computer (since you already said you can't use firewire).

Uneless you have a 9800pro aiw it is not possible. the regular 9800pro's are strictly output cards. you could try usb if firewire is not a possiblity, but be forwarned that it takes much longer.
