How can I get IIS for XP?

Hi all,


I bought a laptop preinstalled with Windows XP. I don't have the Windows XP cd and wanted to install IIS. I do have the Windows 2000 cd but can't seem to find the right files for installing to XP. Is there any hope for me?

if you go to install/uninstall program and choose Windows Setup Files, can you get them that way? A lot of times, guys will load your CAB files onto your harddrive...

Hopefully, that will help. I'm not sure if you can install from the Windows 2000 CD but I think they're the same version...right? 😛

EDIT: I meant to say that IIS was the same version, not Windows.

unless is was preinstalled with XP home then you can't add IIS. But there is a work around if you do some searching. Link.

No my problem is that I have a Windows 2000 disk but don't have the XP disc. I tried installing IIS from the Add Windows components and tried using my 2000 disc but that doesn't work. Is there anyplace that I can directly download IIS for XP?
