How can I get a W2k Desktop pattern into XP?

When i first installed W2k long ago, I played around with the Weave pattern for the Desktop background, and got something I really like and set a color to it that's just right. I'm finally feeling I have to go to XP since we use it at work and I bring the work home a lot. Anyway, I don't know of anywhere in XP Desktop properties that they have anything like the background patterns. I would like to find the file or jpg or bitmap that holds my current pattern and somehow save it and apply it in my new XP.

Any help?

You should be able to save the modified Weave pattern and transfer it to the system once XP is installed. Then, just browse for it from the desktop background tab and it should work fine.

Well, what fun. I went into the Pattern/Edit Pattern box and edited one of the patterns in the list (NOT weave!) and made it the selected pattern. Then I did a search for recently modified files. There's a file in C:\Documents and Settings\Administrator\Application Data\Microsoft\Internet Explorer called Pattern.bmp. Evidently editing and selecting a pattern from the list makes it the current Pattern.bmp when you click OK. So I copied and renamed Pattern.bmp when it was the weave pattern, and saved it as Weave.bmp. Then I could go back into Properties and select it as the background from the "normal" list and tell it to Tile itself and presto - there's my desktop background.

Cool!
