replaced the old one and caulked it twice, but it keeps coming loose. is there a 'best' brand to use or other alternatives?

did you tighten the nuts underneath it or just caulk it? I've never had a sink loosen up on me if it was tightened well.

The caulking doesn't hold the faucet in place. It keeps water from getting around it and under the sink. Tighten the nuts.

I think that you'll find that you'll get a tighter fit if you use black caulk.

You obviously don't have enough caulk or nuts to do this job properly.

Yes, get a hold of your nuts and twist and the problem will go away.

You may need a basin wrench to reach your nuts.

This can't be a serious thread. Who would think that a bit of caulk is going to keep a faucet in place without tightening it?

If you want those nuts to stay on forever use thread locker paste. Used some on my vans drive shaft. I pity the fucker that has to undo those nuts and bolts

you have to handle the nuts properly to get the caulk to stay hard and set

If you try to mount a faucet using only your caulk, then where are your nuts supposed to go?

You actually tried to mount a faucet using only caulk?

I'm illiterate when it comes to fixing things around the house.

I also have a clogged toilet I'm working on. used 3 bottles of liquid plumber, no luck. how much do plumbers charge?
