anything over 1024x768, my monitor can only go at 60 hz and it hurts my eyes. I've seen other monitors @ 60 hz that don't flicker. Anyone have any suggestions? I've heard of something called a "refresh rate doubler" but i dont know if its real at all. Just incase it might help, i have an IBM 2127 monitor. Thanks!

Is that a 17" monitor? Only the mid - high end 17" monitors can do the resolution + refresh rate you are looking for. All 60hz refresh rates will be flickery, they will just look a bit better on the monitors with higher quality tubes (triniton vs FST).

I haven't heard of anything like you are talking about, don't mess with it to often though, but the only way I know for sure is upping your refresh rate, which in your case means lowering your res.
