I am 23, going home for 6 days, want to get a rental car. I know some rental car companies have under 25 policies, but whats the best way to get a cheap reate. i tried expedia, travelocity....only getting $45 a day
Check with enterprise. They occasionally have rental specials. I know that you can get like an escort or a pontiac sunfire rental for around $200 for a week.
Sometimes a weekly rental is cheaper than 6 days. Check that rate and if it is, see if you can stretch it out an extra day somehow.
Check each rental car website individually to see if that rate is cheaper than what you're being offered through Travelocity/Expedia.
And I think disneyclub.com has a 15% discount at National Car Rental (need the discount ID from their site (members only) and you must show your membership card to National when picking up the car. Perhaps the discount would more than cover the membership fee for the club. If you have an Entertainment book in your city, they also have discount coupons for about 5 or 6 different car rental places.
Skoorb and I are renting a car in a few weeks and I shopped around one morning online for about one hour. I got the best rate with National, but Hertz was also close! They kill you with the underage insurance though. If your credit card covers car insurance, that is a great way to save money or call your present car insurance company and see if you are covered on rentals!
