How can I find out what motherboard I have?

Hi, I just downgraded to Windows 98 because Windows 2000 was giving me too many problems and now I've created another problem for myself.

I don't know what motherboard I have and, like a fool, I've thrown away all the original manuals and driver disks. Is there any way I can find out what I have and download the drivers for it short of opening up the thing?

When you are booting up the computer & you see the first screen immediately hit the pause key. The info may be read there.
