how can i find my cpu temp?

i have a pentium III on a Dell L500r using an i810E chipset. how can i find the cpu temp? i'm using the stock heatsink dell shipped it with. it gets luke-warm, but nothing more than that. also, i noticed the fan on the heatsink was blowing down into it, as well as the small fan i bought from radio shack which was made for a 486 had the fan blowing down onto the 486 heatsink. are most like this? (btw, i bought the heatsink/fan for my voodoo3 2k) thanx =)
