Hello All:

Sometime ago, I upgraded my SB Live 5.1 WDM original install drivers that get installed with the original O/S install. I downloaded the newest Creative site drivers and then installed them and I wasn't to pleased with the sound over the default Microsoft included XP drivers. But this didn't matter much once I upgrade to the Audigy 2 card. (Before I installed the A2 card, I did a clean sweep of the SB Live 5.1 drivers.) Well I returned the A2 card so I can wait until my local store gets the Audigy 2 ZS card. Until then, I reinstalled my SB Live 5.1 card. Before I did this I also did a clean sweep of the Audigy 2 drivers. When I put the SB Live 5.1 card in, I was hoping that XP would install its own default drivers dated (I think?) of 07-2001. But instead, it somehow installed the updated creative drivers I download sometime ago. I do not want these SB Live 5.1 drivers which I feel really degrade the overall sound quality of my system.

Anyone know how I could extract the Microsoft XP SoundBlaster Live 5.1 Drivers that are already on my Windows XP Pro install disc? Or, when it asks to install drivers for 'New Device Found' where would I point the path to for these original XP Pro drivers, NOT the updated Creative SB Live drives that are somehow stuck on my system?

Thanks if anyone can help me out

Courtney.
