How can I display content (fresh, geeky, sfw) to tv's at work?

I have 3-4 big screens - i want to keep fresh content playing on them with minimal work - and obviously not have any NSFW show up.

A small device (wdtv?) that is linux could easily poll a directory for content and play it.

1. How would i keep content fresh - ie revision 3 - i want to play content that is <1 week old only.
2. How do i sustain catastrophic outage (tv power fail, network fail, etc) and continue so i don't have to deal with that.
3. The tv's have ALLSHARE which lets me push content from 1 pc to many tv's in a repeating loop but i'm not sure how to make the content more dynamic.

Anyone ever do this? This idea is to play fresh content and not have to babysit it -leanback on google would be great except i'm sure some not-appropriate or old content would show up.

Do they make RSS feeds for this? or channels in leanback? Ability to never have NSFW content show up?

Any feedback would be appreciated.
