I tried renaming them and that won't work for some of them. Is there someway I cant get delete the text off of them and just have icons? I remember I could do this in the past but I can't figure out how.

Also is there a way to get rid of that little shortcut arrow on my shortcut icons? I changed all my icons but the arrow always cones back on them.

Thanks for any help.

You can also use TweakUI to remove the shortcut arrows (among other things). There might be an elegant way to remove (or hide) the icon labels but a brute force approach is to just rename them all using blanks (ALT+0160 (No-Break Space)).
