How can I delete empty rows in excel

I imported some data, and then I deleted all the rows that had Brooklyn as the Boro column. When redisplayed the information without the filter, it has an empty row in all the places that I deleted the element. Instead, I would much rather have the rows just disappear entirely instead of having to delete all these empty rows. Is there some sort of consolidation command that will delete all the empty rows for me? The hacky way I got around it was by refiltering the information to only show the "blank" row elements, then I deleted all those, and after that the rows were gone, but I was wondering if there was a better, more straight forward way to do it. Thanks in advance everybody.

just select all, then sort data by the first column ascending. All empty rows should be moved to the bottom.
