How can I decompress an MP2 file??

I have a project that was saved as an MP2 that I want to convert to .wav under W2K but I don't have a clue which program get the job done. Anyone have any ideas?

Winamp has an output mode of wave writer or something, it can write mp3's and related formats to .wav
It's in preferences (Ctrl+P), Plugins->Output, Nullsoft Disk Writer Plugin. I'm using Winamp 2.90.

Thanks for the help. I used Winamp 2.91, which I had already installed on my system.
