How can I create a header that automatically comes on when I start microsoft word?

Okay, school has started once again and I just got Office XP pro. Is there a way that when I create a new document in word, it will have my name and date on the first line? Thanks

Yeah it's normal.dot

That sounds right. OTOH, you could create a new template based on normal.dot (if you didn't want to mess with that) and save it separately, but then you'd have to open a doc based on it instead of having it start-up for you. I think.
