How can I convince someone that a T1 is slower than 3Mbs ?

3000/8 = 375kbs

T1 is roughly half as fast. That's on downloads. Uploads are different - a T1 can use the full 1.544 up while a typical Cable/DSL connection has a much much lower upload cap than download.

Agreed, I was just curious. Witgh ATM signalling you have a usable 1.36 meg. Didnt know what it was for other signalling protocols.
