How can I convince my boss to switch over to Cool Edit Pro 2.0?

We use a program at work called SAW. It's Software Audio Workshop. It's also from 1995. It has no features, and is a pain in the butt to use. We (as in the on-air staff) want Cool Edit Pro. How can we convince him to switch? He likes old computer stuff. He says that Windows 2000 is less stable than Windows 98, we use a coax Lantastic based network, and a scheduler that is so crappy it should be illegal (AXS).

I hate Scott Studios products.

Any ideas on how to get him to switch?

Hmm, I'll have to think about that one. I couldn't come up with any when I tried to at work. Productivity means nothing. Only 2 of us get overtime.

Hmm....

It took me a while to switch from SAW. I started using Cool edit to clean up my tracks, and then after a while I started using Cool Edit for some of the other stuff... As for how to convince someone to switch from SAW... I'm not sure, I have a buddy that still uses it... habit I guess..

With CEP you can save a huge amount of time. It's so much faster to hit delete than to hit ctrl+shift+C then click on cut, then hit y.

True, I think that SAW went south quickly when they stopped the free upgrades for life program that they had for a while there...
