How can I convert a .gif to a .wmf or a .gfx file?

I have this CD labeler program from Smart and Friendly. Turns out it's not too smart, and the only friendly thing about it is I don't have to jack around with the margins to get it to print correctly on the labels. Problem I'm having is I want to use a couple of images on a CD label, but the farkin program only recognizes .gfx and .wmf pictures. How can I convert a .gif into one of these?

Here's what software I have to work with.
Adobe Photoshop 5.5
Adobe Premier 5.1
Adobe After Effects 4.0
and Paint Brush, of course.

However, the Adobe software won't give me the option to "save as" a .gfx or .wmf, and the MS Paint program doesn't recognize this type of file either. What am I missing here??

Thanks.
JR..

the .gfx is a Genigraphics Graphics Link presentation format...i would guess that is proprietary so you are screwed with that option.

.wmf is a windows metafile extension.

search google for .gif .wmf conversion utility

i found this but haven't tried it...looks like it might do the trick

good luck

Why would you want to save a GIF as a WMF? While WMF will save raster data, it's generally used for it's vector capabilities.

Dammit Johnlee, I suppose you think I should read more than the title before responding? :Q

So this program won't even read BMP files? I can't believe it's that bad. But maybe it is. If it will load BMPs, just use Windows Paint to convert from GIF.
