How can I contact Khypermedia about rebate?

Hi:

I post here rarely except to sell or buy, so my apologies if I am posting incorrectly this time. I bought a Khypermedia 52X CDRW Drive at Office Max on October 3, and still have not received the $11 rebate. I got no satisfaction from the Khypermedia rebate rep (888-213-9918), who says essentially that I have been approved and my check will be coming on some as yet unspecified day. The Khypermedia Customer Service voicemail mailbox((800) 698-5798) is full, so it won't even take a message.

Does anyone know the telephone number in the US for the corporate office, and/or the Khypermedia US address?

Thanks.

If your check is showing approved, you're only around 10 weeks since submission, and Khypermedia usually indicates 10-12 weeks on their rebate forms. You're jumping the gun a little bit (though a full voice mail box isn't a good sign).

For future reference, there is a thread stickied at the beginning of this forum for just this kind of thing. ~~~~ Rebate Tracking Thread ~~~~.

Karaktu is correct. Khypermedia rebates often take a long time, but they do come. Be patient. All the rebate companies require us to follow the conditions to a T, but they don't feel obligated to do the same. You might want to check contact urls, phone numbers, etc in the Rebate thread for additional information. Hope this helps.

These answers are so reasonable, sweet, and good-natured, I hate to disagree that I can relax in the belief that my rebate is coming. Having applied for countless rebates, I understand that:
1. When a customer rep says that you have been approved, you may still not get your rebate because...
2. ...there is evidently a rule that suggests that, six months after the closing date of the promotion, the rebate sponsor no longer has to honor the rebate unless the customer has evidence of a correspondence with the sponsor in the interim.
3. The rebate contract says that I should receive my rebate within 8 weeks, not 12.

When I have called various rebate companies (Parago, etc.) back after an initial promise, I am often told that they have no record of the previous conversation. This goes on until the six months has passed, after which I am simply hung up on. We are talking about only $11 dollars here, but after a while I just hate being taken advantage of.

Does anyone have the corporate (not the rebate or customer service) contact information for Khypermedia?

I should probably add that, despite the assurances of the customer rep, my rebate does not show up at trackmyrebate.com/Khypermedia.
