how can i clean scanner's screen

hi
i have a umax scanner and it is preety old..............therefore it's screen are now mantaled with dust and i want to clean it from this impurities............
but dont want to open it myself or send it to service centre of fear of being charged with a good amount of dollars...........
plz help me.........

quite interesting but expensive as well..........tell me something cheap ............or suggest me somthing innovative.............
 
Look for some screws in the case, undo them, get to the screen , clean it with a lint free cloth.
Do up screws.

Try out, if something broke, get a new scanner.


If you don't want to take a chance, take HP's advice.
What choices are there? Clean it yourself, or don't clean it yourself.

Yup, I have no qualms of disassembling my scanner to clean the glass and vacuum the dust out. I've done it several times without problems.
