Hello,

I have just installed a MSI Pro2-A m/board and want to test out the transfer speed of my IBM 75Gxp ATA100 hard disk to see if I have installed the bus master drivers correctly under Win ME.

Does anyone know where I can download a good program for checking the transfer speed of my HD?

HD Tach is a good program for that. The only thing that'll be over 66mb/s will be the burst speed. The sustained read speed will be in the 30's mb/s.

ditto to Dark4ng31....

Actually, I will be surprise to know any IDE can do AVERAGE Transfer rate (Media to buffer) of more than 33MB/s

Anyway, try this site, they got almost all kinds of benchmark program on the market.

A much better benchmark is Atto, used by the hardline hard drive folks at Storage review.
