how can i change the default font in XP pro ?

hi,

i havent found the option to change the overall default font (eg. windows, explorer etc.) !

How can i change the ugly XP default font...eg. back to the same font as on 98/SE ?

i'm not too sure what you're asking but there's this font you can change to called cleartype or something similar that you can use. Its a lot better than the one that XP originally uses IMO ... sorry i frogot where it is but if you look around a bit you'll find it 🙂
 
Right-click on a blank area of the Desktop, choose Properties, and click on the Appearance tab.
Choose Icon from the list of Items, and select the desired font name and size - this will also be used in Explorer.




 
Don't forget to go to "Advanced" at the appearance tab after following Mucho's instructions.
