How can I change fan speeds from outside the case

I'm interested in getting something where I can change fan speeds by button on the case.

Any of you have an alternative other than overpaying for this corsair link kit they sell on the website?

Opening the case to change speed of the h100 sucks, so i figured if I got something would be nice to plug every other fan possible as well and take full control of my cooling!

Just buy a fan controller and hook the fans up

Then set a profile for you CPU FAN (which would be your pump) in bios

Never control the speed (via header or controller) of the pump on those units. Run the pump at full 12V. There is no reason to run it any lower.

the radiator fans are connected to the h100, the h100 is connected to the mobo

i still want a fan to change the settings since the h100 has 3 settings to pick from, do you think i honestly want to unscrew 2 screws to open up a side panel to press a button on the unit? :p :p

im going to look for "fan controllers" thanks mate :)

Are the stock fans PWM or no? I don't remember, I changed mine over and sold the old ones.

My current fans are PWM, and so I just let the motherboard take care of things. I set 60 deg C as the threshold for them to kick up in speed.

If you have that option, you might give it a try. Could likely do it via software too, it's not a manual button of course but could be a few mouse clicks away.

If no PWM, or just don't like that, this: http://www.bitfenix.com/global/en/products/accessories/recon/ has been a good controller for me. I have my H100i run through the motherboard as mentioned, but all case fans through the Bitfenix. Love it so far.

yes i connect my h100 to the mobo from the h100 to the "cpu fan" on mobo

for the case fans they have the small mobo connector but also have the adaptor to the 4 plug connector, i gotta research a bit i cant say if that is or isnt pwm,

it seems they regulate by themselves but i havent seen the intake or exhaust fan on the HAF932 really change speeds so i would like some sort of control, i never get hot or have cooling issues, i just like to know if i want to crank the fans to 100% that they can instead of staying at 40%

im going to check out that bitfenix :)

arg would be nice to not have to jam a rod through the holes in my case fan to push that dreaded speed button lol

corsair are jerks, made a unit that purposely requires another unit to control it unless manually clicking the unit :)
