How can I burn a TV series to a DVD and then watch it on my DVD player?

When I just burn a regular TV series to DVD and put it in the DVD player for the TV it says "Error" and then ejects.

I can watch it on the computer no problem.

I am guessing because there are no menus so the DVD player can't recognize which file to play first?

    thanks

Does your DVD player support playing data discs with MP4, AVI, Divx, or other compressed media files? If not, you need to use a program that is capable of creating video DVD discs (Windows Movie Maker can make basic video discs).

well from the website it says -

    DVD/VCD/CD/CD-R*/CD-RW*/DVD-R/MP3/WMA Playback.

So what do I do with Windows Movie Maker? Does Windows 7 even have this program anymore?

Also is there any quality loss involved.

    thanks

DVD players dont cost too much get one that can play a wider array of file types. Still you might have some problems. Put the files on flash drive and see if you TV will play them. My samsung HDTV plays a wide array of file types.
