How can I be a blue collare worker and retain my respect?

It isn't like I don't have more than more than most you little punks will have. I got mine back when the getting was easy. I only worked two jobs seven days a week.

When the wife and I got married we already knew what we wanted, a house. We got the starter house and moved up to our next home.

We have been here for over 27 years now and have no desire to change.

It isn't like we are super wealthy ATOTers who have quarter of a million dollar a year jobs and still can't pay our bills. We just cruise along, paying our bills and watch our friends and families acquire more than we have.

They did it with their home equity. My daddy taught me long ago to never, EVER, use the equity in your home for toys or vacations.

I can only wish I was as wealthy as the average ATOTer living in his mommy's basement. I would be wealthy!

Not sure if you're serious, or even what you're really getting at, but most blue collar workers are more useful than whites, and when the shit hits the fan, it's the blue collars I'd be partnering with.

They're probaby acquiring all of the "stuff" on credit. It will bite them big time.

Buy what you need (used if possible) and pay cash for it is my motto.

As far as the blue color thing, I try to treat everyone respectfully regardless of their station in life. It's upbringing, I guess.

anyone who makes fun of "blue collar" workers .. has no idea what they do.

That million dollar house you have? built by blue collar workers.
That million dollar car you drive? built by blue collar workers.
That road you drive said car on... built by blue collar workers.
That office building you work in... built by blue collar workers.
That zombie eating your white collar brain... killed by blue collar workers.

So your saying blue collar is some sort of PC friendly term for beaners?

You mean take out a mortgage on a house as a loan to buy something? If you have more than one, why not?

Most ATOT pretend they are millionaire with fancy life styles and talk people down to make themselves feel better.

As long as you are doing honest work and supporting a happy family, why is that matter if you are blue collar or white collar?
You shouldn't feel bad. You should feel proud that you build your own life with your own two hands.

I respect blue collar workers a lot more than the white-collar doofuses I'm surrounded by.

This reminds me of Fight Club, oh how true it is:

Tyler Durden: "We cook your meals, we haul your trash, we connect your calls, we drive your ambulances. We guard you while you sleep. Do not... fuck with us."

I have respect for blue collar workers because they actually do real work. I may work 50+ hours per week, but most of the time I'm just posting on AToT/surfing web. I am never exhausted at the end of the day.

I had a warehouse job after highschool. THAT was real work.

Get out of that wheelchair and I'll put your other eye out!

While I'm not taking anything the OP says seriously there is no shame in honest work. Unfortunately satisfaction in one's self reliance has become passe.

This is a parody thread, right?

No, he gets annoyed by people acting like having a million dollars in the bank is a normal thing. Personally I don't give a crap, and no I don't have a million sitting around.

Dude, why do you care what other people think at all? Respect comes from within.
