so we bought the new dmb cd stand up and are trying to rip it to our pc and/or burn it to cdr. so far i have been unable to get clean files onto either format and have wasted 5 cd's so far (didn't know the files were corrupt when i was making copies for the house).

is there any way to make a clean copy of this legitimately purchased cd or is this not possible because of the protection...i have to tell you i think this stinks in any case..thanks!!

Rip it to lossless WMA and then copy that as CD audio. Also test the rip on a CDRW first and only use CDR when you've confirmed it works.

Why do you just use the "disc copy" feature of your burning software? MUCH easier than ripping and all that crap.

thanks guys. so far i've tried creating an audio disc using two software apps and in both cases the files are corrupted. also ripped onto my hd...same thing.

i'll try doing a disc copy (onto cdrw to see if it works) now, but won't that have all the drm stuff that's messing me up now?

given that i bought the cd i find this unfair!

i wonder if you have the same issues if you download the tracks instead of buy them on cd...
