Ahh my post is a joke, no more...

What I fear more then guns, or doctors are the parents of our country.

Everytime some kid kills someone with a gun people talk of guns, video games, music and many other things, but rarely do they mention the parents..

Rarely do they ask the important questions.

1. Did you know where your kid spends his time.

2. Do you know your kids friends, the people he hangs out with.

3. Do you sit down and eat at least 1 meal a week as a family.

4. Have you ever helped your child with his homework.

5. Do you know what your child wishes to be when they grow up.

If you anwsered more then one of these questions No, Im sorry but as a parent you have failed. And any wrong doing done by your child with a gun is no fault of the gun, but your lack of guidence and support in your childs life.

Thank you, funny, how when someone jokes around you get 7 posts within 5 minutes.. be serious, say something that hits home and you get little...

Its because parents are to busy turning there back to there children to pay attention to the truth.

No kidding, people try to blame there childs failings on the world today, excuses like "Is so violent out there", Its the music, its the TV.. Give me a break..

Sorry but any of you ever watch road runner as a kid? You don't see people running around dropping Acme Anvils on people..

If you look back.. the Violence in the world grows in direct relation to the increasing need for both parents to work and spend time outside of the house. The less time parents spend raising there kids, the higher the chance there kid is going to be in some sort of trouble as they grow up.

My father taught me what a gun was, he taught me right from wrong, he guided me in my life, and was a part of my life, he always asked where I was going, who my friends where, made me sit down at a table and eat dinner with him.

So next time your child does something wrong, or you read about a child doing something wrong... Think about it.. think about the questions I posted...

Did it happen because some Record played backwards spewed out "SATAN COMMANDS YOU TO KILL".. Or was it because the child is crying out for love, for attention..

I wholeheartily agree...I too grew up w/ the roadrunner cartoons, grew up w/ capguns and when I got a little older my father taught me respect for what a gun is and respect for the use of it...went hunting for the first time @ the age of 12...and I havn't gone "postal" its all in the upbringing.. and as soon as more people realise this the better off our children will be
