How can a CULS2 MoBo rated for PIII 450 - 933 mhz support an overclocked PIII to 1 gig?

When Asus states that the MB can support up to a 933Mhz processor they are basing that on the fact that the fastest chip Intel has released (at the time the cusl2 was released) is a 933. Theoretically the board can support a chip up to the (maximum multiplier * maximum bus speed).

'support' for faster chips will be provided by bios updates. you could always do it manually, but some people prefer presets. like strafe said, it depends on the multiplier. if p3s had a multiplier of 20 (20*100MHz or 20*133MHz) it would work. the agp, pci and everything else would be withing spec up to 133MHz fsb. unfortunately, the cpu cannot go that high.
