The Willams sisters are taking over tennis. It's like they are swapping the no. 1 and no. 2 ranking like they are a prada boots. They have collectively won 7 of 11 major championships and faced each other 3 of those 7 times in the finals. It's a beautiful thing. 🙂
 
ya. too bad for capriati who found her second wind a little too late. if she hadn't screwed up so badly when she was younger she could have dominated tennis for years before the williams sisters came along.

as it is, she's the only one the has any chance at all of beating either of the williams sisters tho it is highly unlikely she will ever beat both in a single tournament.

As for capriati they used to say that about steffi too when capriati was young. None of these girls could hang with Williams if they were in thier prime again. 115 mph serves, 6' and move around like Aggasi. Perhaps Hewet could beat them but I would'nt bet on it.
 
Anyone know of Mr. Willams has any boys? And how old they? I can't wait to see them, but usually men bloom a litle later in tennis.

hey serena is pretty cute when she dresses right....i saw venus on jay leno once...she looked ok...not as bad as she does when she plays tennis

The point was you made a snide remark about the Williams sisters' appearance and I made an equally snide remark about Tiger Woods' teeth JUST to show you how ridiculous it is to put down a person b/c of their appearance when you can't fault their athletic achievements. It obviously worked b/c you said "Huh?" That was my SAME reaction to your post putting down Venus.

Simply put, Venus and Serena dominate Wimbeldon and all you can say is that they are ugly. That has no bearing on the fact that they are excellent atheletes and really has nothing to do with the point of CripplerCrossface's original post which was praising the sisters for their work.


Anyway, did NE1 else notice that Venus was so nonchalant about losing and said that it really didn't matter when they interviewed her? I bet she is fuming inside 😉
 
Uh oh...Kournikova and some other chick are playing the Williams sisters this afternoon in doubles. 😀

They may be good, but I very much doubt they would get anywhere near Hewett.

serena could hold her own against the men. but i dont think anyone male or female can beat lleyton hewitt.

anna is impressive. maybe she can get her singles game together and get back in the top 10.
 
Serena is okay, but Venus is a nasty slapper.

It's kinda sad how we judge them on looks and not talent. There are some really good women players.
 
I'm just really impressed how they held it together after their father, Ted, passed away. That took a lot of guts.
