107 MB Seagate in a 486/25 with Windows 3.1. My previous machines were all Apples with floppies. At the time 107MB wasn't all that small. It was plenty of space and took quite a while to fill it up. My 2nd was an 850MB upgrade that I paid $199 for. That was an incredible steal for that period. 500MB's were going for around $250 at the time and I was at CompUSA at the time they opened to be able to get the 850 for $199.

It was a 20 MB drive. The computer was a a 16 MHz 286 with a whopping 3 MB of RAM. Made by Victor and the case was much smaller than todays mini-towers and close to silent.

40 Meg. But then, the first memory I bought was 16K for an Apple II @ $100. Doesn't sound like much but that works out to $6,250 per megabyte, or over $6 million per Gig

Mine was a 20MB drive I put into a Mac SE/30.

Prior to that, my PCs didn't have hard drives.

Went from dual 5.25" on a couple of PC compatibles to the 3.5" on the SE/30.

Ahhhh.. the good old days. lol 🙂
