I'm sure I could use the card in another machine later on I guess.

I'm interested because I'm looking at getting a 2nd video card, and then just thought maybe I'll replace the GF2 and just run both displays off of 1 card and get a TV tuner with it at the same time...

What do you think?

i can't remember, will the 9800pro work with that version agp card? aren't the voltages different? if the voltages work the i would assume it would work fine, but i would think you would be cpu limited while gaming :D

The CPU would be a bit of a bottleneck for gaming, but the card should work perfectly fine with that system.

If you are weighing up 1 'all-in-one solution' versus 2 different cards (gfx and tuner), then its probably down to personal preference.

My opinions:

Separate graphics card and tuner may be more expensive but much more flexible. If you arent gaming, you dont particularly care about the gfx performance.

I dont think the AIW cards do hardware encoding which you could get via a tuner such as the Hauppage PVR-150.

You may be limited to certain pieces of TV Software with the AIW card.

I dont think moving from a GF2 to a 9800 pro will give you much extra power to write home about. I feel that if you want a TV Tuner, buy a standalone one and keep the GF2.

My 2400+ Socket A Sempron bottlenecks my 9600XT. I can't imagine how much of a bottleneck that pentium is going give a 9800pro.
