330 watts scares me...

How bout this one?

330 watts is plenty, quality over quantity.

That's junk.

I agree about quality, but 330 is a bit low... 8A on the first +12V line just isn't going to cut it. Not for a full system. Maybe for a mid-range SFF or something...

I would suggest:
Antec 400w TruePower

Also, it might help to read some reviews here and what happened when they stress tested them. With a $50 budget, you are severly limiting the most is arguably the most important piece of equipment in your computer, especially since most of your other items will be upgraded long before your PSU. My opinion is get a good PSU first, and then go from there, because you will upgrade your video and CPU long before you PSU and case...

That's another misconception, even the highest end P4 w/ an ultra high-end GPU can barely approach 300 watts. For the OP's system the 330 watt Seasonic will do fine.

the thing u said about the 12V connection may be true...but you're going for really powerful PSUs. they all look good. many ATers'll tell you that a name brand 350W PSU is all you need. i think you'll be fine with any of those 3

I'm using 240W as I type this.

3Dmark05 gets up to 387W max, PCMark05 gets up to around 350W, 2 Prime95 large FFTs uses 382W steady. I've seen around 450W with 2 Prime95s and 3Dmark05 at the same time- but that was a quick peak, it was mostly down around 400W during that.

My system uses more power than most people's probably. This is from a Seasonic PowerAngel that I got my results from.

Dont skimp on your PSU, you will be sorry in the long run. I would spend the extra cash and at least get the Antec 550-- only cost about $115. As for me my PC Power and Cooling is indeed a BEAST.

I've installed and sold the Anamax and Echo...both didn't last long...go with a lower watt quality one as it'll serve better then those 2
