How big is your change jar(s)?

I have two coffee cans filled to the brim with mostly silver. The rate of accumulation has declined a bit since I'm using less cash than everyone else and tend to swipe my debit card to make the majority of purchases. There's probably a little over $100 or so between both cans but I'm too lazy to roll or count. Don't you think that ATMs should have a Coinstar-like trap built in? Make a deposit and dump your change and it could tally it up. That would be sweet.

Inspired by the money threads.

Coins smell funny.

Quart plastic bag. When it fills, I take it to the bank.

Since most banks have multiple branches that count coins free for their consumers, why would they pay for thousands of ATM to do it?

A very small tin. Collecting coins is irritating, so I use them as I go.

A Jameson tube (whatever its called, the round tubes the bottles come in) with ~4" of silver in the bottom and crammed to the top with mixed bills $1-$50.

I dump all my change in, and every couple days I dump in all my singles and occasionally a 5 or 10, plus $50s whenever I get one since I don't want to bother breaking it. I don't really notice the cash missing from my wallet, and it adds up fast. If you pay for small stuff with cash very often you can get 3-500 easy in just a few months

Just did CoinStar for a $95 Amazon cert. That was like two months of change.

Damn just two months? Over the course of a year I took my change to a coinstar and around ~$45 but I do spend a lot of my change as well.

I've got about $200 in coins in a box near my bed. That's about a month or so of change.

A one gallon size glass jar. Just weighed it, it weighs 22.5 lbs. Not sure how much is in there but I'm pretty sure it's at least $100. :awe:

I have a decent sized vase almost filled the top. It hasn't accumulated much in the past two years because I never use cash anymore.

I have a glass gallon wine jug (long, painful, hangover inducing tradition between friends) that I empty once a year. I cashed it in last August and got just over 300 bucks out of it. That made my day!

The surface of my desk is my change jar...I think. I rarely see much of its surface though.

In any case, I don't use cash for most purchases.
