Hey guys,

My system isnt no powerhouse, and i only have 4 gigs (FAT32) for my operating system + programs --- + 15 for storage.

I decided to give winXP (pro) a shot, and I seem to have run out of space.

WinXP + few minor upgrades + Office XP + Word Perfect office 2000 is taking up.... 3.56GB :Q

Is this normal?!

I know WinXP Pro is about around 1.2gb, Full install of CD1 office is around 600mbs. I don't know about word perfect.....
Look for Windows Pagefile, Hiberation, System Restore, that can be another gig.

WinXP does tend to be pretty bloated, considering what you've got on there using only 3.56GB up is actually rather low depending upon what stuff you installed with OfficeXP.

Considering that if you have 512MB of RAM, you will have a swap file that is set to default at 768MB (1.5x RAM) along with a hibernation file that is the same size as RAM, it all adds up VERY quickly.
