Let's go for "average". What is an average snowflake size, anyway?
And for the sake of calculations, let's assume no decay - you know, like in all those math problems where you ignore real-life stuff for the sake of calculating.

The snow I was counting was little tiny balls of ice, maybe 1-16th of an inch in diameter. Not individual snowflakes, come to think of it.

apparently it depends on the temperature mostly, but that link mentions as small as 10 and as large as 140 microns

so lets just use 100 microns to make the maths simple


100 microns times 1 million = 328.08 ft ?
