no you will not. hd should eat more then 100 or so watts themselve. Read the whitesheats on them for power usage. I think it is aroun10 - 12 watts.

You should be fine with a 450 Watt power supply with room to spare. Granted that this is a quality power supply

I think that you dont need 500 watts at all. You would be just fine if you went an got a 400 to 450 watt power supply. A 430 Antec would do you fine. I have used several and have never had any problems.

If there's anything I learned about buying a power supply...it's all about the manufacturer....and if there is one manufacturer I would go with...it would be the one I've already gone with... www.pcpowercooling.com. Their power supplies deal out somewhere around a 70+% power efficiency! Other power supplies don't come near that....so you might be thinking your getting a lot of power....but seriously....you might be thinking again...when you do some research and see that the particular ps you bought has a fraction of the power coming out of it than what it reads on the box you read that caught your eye. PC power cooling has a 5 year warranty too if i'm not mistaken....long as you don't submerge it or something other to deliberately... or stupidly void your warranty lol. These ps cost more but they are soooo worth it!....telling you....once you get one of these you won't need another. I bought the 400wt silencer ... cost money....but it was money that I don't have to EVER think about spending again for a GOOD WHILE....5 years...for sure! Worth it rather than hastling everytime you get a system. think their ps are equipped with the extra wires for p4 boards...mine is. This company cares and you get your package in good time and in good shape! Best on your new ps purchase and experience :)

Dang, Im in the market for a PSU for my new rig. But is it really worth it to be paying $150+ for a PSU? Can't you get one that will work just fine for around $50?

Yes everything Protouringcars said.
I have the 450w PC Power Turbo and get much better oc/s with it.
They have line conditioning to maintain the constant current and filter out noise.
Best Power supplies I've seen to date, will use none other.

PCPC is the best, but if you don't have the cash for that get an Antec TruePower. The Antec is very good as well and cheaper. You should be able to get an Antec TruePower 430 for around $75. Check at Directron.
