How bad would the engine be...

...if it's a 92' Civic DX with 150,000 miles on it? It's this ladies car and she only used it to go to work and back. I figure she works hella far from her house! So is it worth it? I might be able to get it for around 2-3k. Thanks!

Thats a whole lot miles, you should definatley have a mechanic do a compression test on it. You might also want to see if the alternator, water pump, and fuel pump have ever been replaced..... I'd go with an older car with less miles if it were me.
