How bad would someone have to be driving for you to call 911?

id do it if they guy almost got in an accident with me (his fault) and then swerved over like 3-4 lanes without a blinker in one motion, going an obvious 20+ over the speed limit

25+ years ago, long before cell phones, I followed an obvious drunk for a good 5 or 6 miles (my thinking was that if he hit something/someone or ran into the ditch, I'd at least be able to help).....all the way to the parking lot of another bar!!

Nowadays, I'd drop a dime on someone swerving like that, in a second. Chances are they're drunk, and you might be saving some innocent life. Could also be they're having a seizure or are suffering from diabetic shock, and you might save the driver's life. :D

I don't call 911, I call *SP or #SP (forget which it is), it connects you to the state police in NJ. Last time I called it was because a guy was passing someone doing 90 mph on the right shoulder.

Not 911, but I call the state police dispatch all the time for truckers driving like maniacs on the roads.

As much as I would love to launch a missile at some of those fvcks.. I wouldn't bother unless it clearly caused an accident (or would have if somebody didn't avoid it). I tend to think I would be wasting my time because cops wouldn't be there quick enough to find the guy.

Thats kinda the way I think. I don't know if I am getting older or other drivers are getting stupider...but seriously? Today there was a guy going 50 in a 70 in the left lane and he couldn't keep it between the lines. He almost clipped me twice when I finally got by him.

We followed a guy once who was all over the road. He had a pickup with a canopy, and he pulled over after a while. I was thinking he'd crawl in back and sleep it off but oh no, he keeps going after I pass him. I get to this podunk town and both the cops are at the 7-11. I wheel up and tell them about the driver and they practically spill their coffee in their haste to go after him. We LOLed a great deal. It was like Barney Fife and his brother.

I called on one guy driving 20 mph in a 55 zone. I called on a guy who had a dresser hanging off the back of his trailer. It was wedged between two mattresses and coming loose, at 65 mph on an urban freeway, at night.

Twice.

Once I saw a guy who would occasionally jerk the wheel and swerve across a few lanes of traffic. Pretty sure he was drunk or falling sleep.

Second time was when some kids were screwing with us. They kept cutting us off and slamming on the brakes. Not sure what they were trying to accomplish.
