how bad would it be to drive a dirty car on a date?

Clean it.

I myself am SUPER anal about my car. I remember one time I wash out washing it in like 40 degree weather. That was COLD.
My normal cleaning routine is about 7 hours start to finish.

Wash all crevices (door jambs, around windows, all creases in the rubber weather stripping)
Armour All all inside panels
Windex all windows
Wash outside
Wax outside
Vacuum inside
Clean and condition leather seats.

This doesnt sound like much, but when you drive an Expedition, that ends up being alot of weather stripping, panels and leather. :s

Forgot to add, keep in mind thats average. If I break out the clay bar and wax primer, time goes WAY up.

Like I said, I'm anal 😀

But, its worth it when I go out, cause it SHINES and people notice it.

Think of it as Zen man. Dont think of it as a chore or work, think of it as bonding time with your car. Kinda like reformatting your PC 😉

Lol, reminds me of my first date with a dude who shows up in a nice car,says excuse me,I gotta clean things up a bit.He opens the passenger side door and out spills like 3 months worth of empty dunkin donuts coffee cups.Hahaha,the poor thing is fumbling around trying to clean,looks up at me and says "as you can see,I don't get out much"

just shell oput the 5$ and drive through one of thoes automated ones. itll get it clean enough for teh date
 
Dirty cars=bad.

It looks SUPER good on your part if you drive a vacuumed, washed car on a date. Trust me, if your car looks good, you'll look even better.

hell, if you usually drive around in a filthy car, then dont' pose yourself off as a 'neat car' person... otherwise, she will just hate you in the end for having a sloppy car.

VERY IMPORTANT: CLEAN THE INSIDE!!!! If you're going out later in the evening on Friday, the outside shouldn't be a problem. However, if your car is crusted in grime, I'd at least hose it down. 😛
