How bad will HL2 run on my Athlon XP 1700+

512mb PC 2100
Geforce3 Ti20 64mb.

HL2 has gotten praises for smooth performance curve but how bad do you think it'll run on mine?

probably able to run 800*600 on low

I've heard that it'll run (~20FPS) at 800*600 low q on a ATI Radeon 7000, which is a slower card than yours, so You should be able to play it alright at 800*600

i have a the same specs except that i have a radeon 9600 XT.

ppl say i'll be ok at 1024 x 768, but we'll see.
