Where is the impending DEPRESSION that the clowns on here have been pimping? The Dow is up 200-300 today. Where are the people who claim 7500? Come on out and post again.

I dunno, I wouldn't bet against it, and I'm not betting against it. We have some serious de leveraging to do...

And LK, you'll get your bailout on Thursday, I would bet $ on that, but shit's so volatile I don't know how to play it, although I have always wanted some GS... We shall see.

I don't think anyone was claiming the Dow would decline by that much in a day or two time span. Your clinging to the index (which as has been explained to you is up on speculation of a bailout passing) as the sole indicator of economic health is also FAR to narrow of a view.

The commercial lending market is circling the drain all but yelling "save me" though since it doesn't effect you directly at this second you think it's an unimportant detail. Well as the companies people work for run low on operating cash and start cuttings costs (jobs) I think you'll understand more clearly.

Totally agree with the OP. I HATE points listing. I want percentages! I dont believe we've seen much over a 5% drop on any single day for DOW. NASDAQ I believe was down 9% or a touch over. While that is a eye brow raising amount its certainly not horror face, hair pulling, window jumping or shock and awe.

But the media sure tries......

You want percentages? Where do you get your numbers from, the pt drop is always followed by % change... unless you follow the stock market by reading news headlines

Like I said, I live in a small town...

Cue John Cougar song...

:music: Well I was born in a small town
And I live in a small town
Probly die in a small town
Oh, those small communities.... :music:
