I have one 80GB drive partitioned to 11GB for windows, the rest for games, applications, etc.
I have one 80GB drive and one 200GB drive unpartitioned and are for storing anime, tv episodes, movies, music.

20GB IBM Drive

Partitions fail too easily... I refuse to partition unless I have to.

Huh? A partition is just a sectioned off area of a drive, so to speak.

It has nothing to do with reliability in any way shape or form. That's up to the hard drive itself.

You have to partition no matter what; the difference is how many you use. You're just using one.

2x 80gb 7200rpm 8mb in an AID0 (160gb total):
30gb - Windows/Games/Apps etc
130gb - Everything else

If one of my drives were to fail...i'd be fvcked. Need to get myself a DVD rewriter drive some time soon.

Partitioning drives into several partions is soooooooooooooooo 90's. I just use all my drives with one main partition...a bunch of smaller ones is a waste of time.

:p

IMO.
