I can't take anything for granted this year.
I lost last year with Edge, LT, and Holt on my team.

Rhodes was my Mr. Irrelevant in the 15th round of a 12-team draft. My starters are Rudi Johnson and Brian Westbrook, with Ahman Green as my true backup and Kevan Barlow in case sh!t gets really hairy with injuries (though I'd sooner play a single RB / 4 wideout set using our flex position before getting that far in the depth charts--something like Hines Ward, Javon Walker, Keyshawn Johnson, Tony Gonzalez).

Trust me, Rhodes is just trade bait as soon as he posts a solid week or Addai goes down. I could parlay him with Philip Rivers for a decent backup QB to Eli Manning and be all set.

P.S. If you think that's bad, one team in my league has 3 RBs: Tatum Bell (2nd string, drafted 3rd round!), Chris Perry (2nd string and ironically my would-be Rudi handcuff), and Stephen Davis (still a free agent). Yowza.

Manning is about the only QB worth a 1st round pick.

Depends on your scoring system.

In our league I woulda taken manning above Alexander and LJ

I am completely biased, but I think Dallas is the sleeper defense this year. My team is all cowboys except for the kicker (some whore stole Vanderjact so I have Kasay).

Same thing happened to me, except I didn't forget the draft, I just couldn't be at it. Ended up with Manning, Fitzgerald, Ward, Jackson, Tatum Bell, Addai, Cooley, Evans. There is a flex spot for WR/RB and I don't even have a third RB for the spot :(

Unfortunately, looks like it is a championship team in a league full of retards, so where is the sense of accomplishment?

Cadillac dropped to 51st pick? Jackson at 14th? Kevin Jones at 94? Jeez

I felt better on draft day about my team than I do now but I'm still in good shape if my teams stays/gets healthy. My WR's concern me the most. There is potential for some really good production but there are also concerns since none are top-tier guys. Branch could pay off for me later in the year which is why I drafted him in the 11th round. I couldn't pass on him at that point. I just desperately need solid years from Westbrook and C. Taylor. Picked up Greg Jones late just in case Fred Taylor went down but now he's out for the year so I have to replace him. Hoping to snag Lundi or Norwood as insurance. Can't wait for the season to start!

QB: Hasselbeck
QB: Roethlisberger
RB: Larry Johnson
RB: Westbrook
RB: C. Taylor
RB: C. Benson
RB: Greg Jones
WR: Houshmandzadeh
WR: Roy Williams
WR: Deion Branch
WR: L. Coles
WR: Reggie Brown (was a good late pick until they aquired Stallworth...errrrr)
TE: A. Gates
TE: Alex Smith
K: Jay Feely
K: L. Tynes
D: Giants
D: Falcons

Mine's looking decent, just have to find a replacement for Branch since it's looking like he won't play this year.

WR: Reggie Wayne
WR: Deion Branch
RB: LaDainian Tomlinson
RB: Willis McGahee
TE: Jason Whitten
K: David Akers
DE: Baltimore

Bench:
QB: Ben Roethlisberger
RB: DeShaun Foster
TE: Heath Miller
WR: Eddie Kinneson (not sure if that's who I want to replace Branch or not)

It was weird. We are in a league of 8 and only like 3 people went to the draft the rest were yahoo auto-selection. S. Jackson was rated higher on yahoo over Williams. I was surprised Cadillac was around in the 7th round. Who is better S. Jackson or Cadilliac?

I'd say Jackson will get you more points this season, but Cadillac could be very good.

I'm ok with how mine turned out, we had a low turn out as well.

The damn Sports Guy got to me and I picked Maroney, though pretty late in the draft.

Starters:

Brees, Drew QB NO
Barber, Tiki RB NYG
Jackson, Steven RB STL
Holt, Torry WR STL
Johnson, Andre WR HOU
Shockey, Jeremy TE NYG
Kasay, John K CAR
Seahawks, DST

Reserves:
Green, Trent QB KC
Bell, Mike RB DEN
Maroney, Laurence RB NE
Jones, Matt WR JAC
Hilton, Zach TE NYJ
Chargers, DST

I always feel better after I get a couple of weeks under my belt, until then who the heck knows what will happen.

Are you guys drafting against 1st graders? These must be public leagues. I only play in private leagues where almost everyone shows up for the draft (all but one manager in each league this year) and everybody knows their stuff (both my leagues were started from football fan e-mailing lists I am a member of).

Do you get any satisfaction beating strangers of unknown intelligence and football knowledge?
