I am so deprived of sleep for days, last night was in ER with my daughter until 4am. At least this time it was knowedgeable resident, did all tests and gave her shot of antibiotics and she feels much better. last night we went to local hospital. On Monday when her problems started I called Presbyterian Childrens Hospital Hotline, was told nearest hospital ER is Cornell, so took 25minutes of driving to get there. I arrive there to find out, children ER is closed at night? ( what the the point of it, if I can go to the pediatrician during the day) About 2hour wait in the ER full of drunk and drug addicts, finally triage nurse records temperature etc.. 2 more hours for slow registeration clerk to register us. Finally resident and attendant saw her and told us everything normal. ( yeah right stupid punks this is 2month old infant with blood in urine and flu with fever) I asked them to take urine samples, he said no need to. They are lucky it was night time, I would raised hell there , if hospital administration was available

I'm glad you finally found a doctor that could help you out. Sounds like the doctors at Cornell leave something to be desired.

Here's wishing your daughter a speedy recovery. :)

I am thinking about finding another pediatrician for her as well. her doctor has over 30 years of experience but I think he needs to retire, he works 2hours in brooklyn office and 2hours in staten island. I call him next day to find out his opinion, whether I should take her to ER, he doesnt even remember his patients
