I am really enjoying Vista, it's very pretty ;) plus I just like the functionality. I have only been using it for a couple of weeks on my laptop, but I give it a  so far.

I have been using WMP11 for quite a while now and really like it. I have a Toshiba Gigabeat S and it works really well with WMP11 which is why I like it so much.

Have not tried Office 2007 yet as it is imperative that my Office docs be compatible at both home and my work so I did not want to mess around with it...yet anyway.

Office 2007 has a cool interface, and some funky new word format .docx. But I honestly don't see what's better about it then 2003, or even 2000. Haven't gotten deep into it yet, just using Word. I actually really like the interface, took me a while to get use to how things are laid out now though.

RC1 is out, so its pretty stable (was stable even on beta 2). looks nicer, and bugfixes all around. memory leaks for the most part are gone for me!

I don't know about Vista, I'll wait for the first official "final" build.

Windows Media Player 11 Beta 2 (I think that's the latest build) is awesome. I prefer that one over WMP 10 anytime. Its interface is what makes it cool in my opinion, and I like its Media Library.

Haven't tried Windows Vista, but I can vouch for the other two. While MS Office isn't my first choice, it's definitely not doing too bad.

I'm using Office 2007. Originally, I prefered 2003, but once you get used to the new menu layouts in 2007, you'll like it a lot more. Features are easier to find and setup. I've only used Word and Excel primarily though.

Office 2007 can save in the .doc format as well. Heh, I didn't realize it saved in a different format until I emailed an assignment to my teacher and he responded saying he couldn't open it.

Office 2007 is good ;) , Windows Vista with Live anywhere is thing that will make me want to upgrade... Office 2003 takes arround 2hrs + to get use to it but after that its way more efficent and better than Office 2007

Absolutely agree, is there any way to get the menus in office 2007 to look like 2003.

I can see a lot of businesses staying away because of this.(increased training costs and confused secretaries  )

It just takes 2hrs the most to get use to Office 2007 and makes you do things alot faster.

MS Guys opinion:

WMP 11 - I haven't used it enough to give a solid opinion yet.

Vista - it's getting close now and looking goooood. Most of the remaining problems involve 3rd party drivers that are still maturing. Search or ask around regarding your video card and other critical drivers. If someone out there is running your stuff fine then definately jump on Vista asap.

Office 2007 - As others have said... it's a bit wierd and different when you first start using it. After you get used to it, it rocks. Very next-gen. Personally, I would suggest waiting just one more point release on this one. For me at least there are still a few bugs that hit my pain points. When this product gets released it's going to be very impressive. Expect *more* improvements than everything you have seen between Office 95 and Office 2003.

Yeah, tough it out a bit guys. Get used to the new interface and you'll start appreciating the beauty of it. It's just like when you first used XP after 2k... if you flip the start menu back to classic you'll spend the rest of your life minimizing everything to run that icon on your desktop.

The lack of menus makes Office 2007 a LOT easier to work on once you get used to it.

Im definately buying a copy on release. I work noticably faster, no joke.

Has anyone tried to synch an iPod to WMP11? I'm assuming that it won't synch since it's an iPod

I have a shuffle and it does not work. I have to use MediaMonkey to sync it. Maybe there will be a plugin later that will fix this, but only time will tell.

I've been working on WMP11 for the past few days with my new Vision M, and I'm getting the hang of working around any current bugs. It seems like a very usable player at it's current state, although I can't say if I'm running the newest beta or not. I'm using what came with RC1, anyone know which version that would be?

Also, Vista is pretty amazing so far. I'll definitely be purchasing a copy of Ultimate when it hits stores next year.

Yea, I used MediaMonkey in the past and I like it. But WMP11 is just graphically superior to MediaMonkey. I don't synch with my iPod often since I just listen to a radio show on it, but I'd like to be able to synch all of the playlists I've made in WMP11 onto my iPod rather than making a whole new playlist on iTunes.

Vista its good for all the reason already stated. Office is good also new GUI but once you work with it for a few days you will be hooking and find it hard going back. I was meant to be testing but just keep it as my main office install for me though the Lotus converter is not compatable! ouch means I have to go back and use Lotus and my main email client. I guess this shows that I am willing to make this work for office 2007 to stay installed.

WMP Its installed but I never use is for video I have VLC Player and radio its Pandro for me. Song well Winamp but only cause I have not looked for better....yet

well it wouldn't let you upload your song but it will let you store your song on another computer ... when you plug an ipod another computer and itunes tries to format it :*( windows Media Player 11 doesn't do that.

WMP11 works well for me. I have IE7 on my latop, which seems to work well also. Haven't been able to find a way in the internet options for it to save tabs/session when closed though....maybe it's not possible?
