Hi
I don't mean the ones you get at the local supermarket cause those DON'T work.

I'm asking about those that cost about $60.00 as compared to the frigg'n dentist which cost
about $500.00.

My teeth need some whitening done to them after all of these years of massive coffee drinking :D:D:D:D

(me loves Starbucks hehehehe)

Hooray for Starbucks :D!!!!!!!!!!!

Anyway, Id ask your dentist, usually stuff you buy at a store just doesnt work as well as the stuff they use.

Yea, the ones you can guy at the store don't work too well. I have been using Rembrandt whitening toothpaste for over a year now, and my teeth don't seem any whiter. I don't use it for that though. I use Rembrandt for Canker Sore suffers, which helps to reduce the canker sores I get. The whitening part is just part of the product. As for the reduce canker sores part? It has been a godsend.

I don't know if they work but either way i think its a good idea to get a routine cleaning at the dentist even if it does cost a lot.

It shouldn't cost an arm and a leg if you have dental coverage (like through your employer) I have Kaiser Permanente NorthWest and it costs me a whopping $5 co-payment for _ALL_ procedures except for "knocking me out" which costs $200 I think but I'd much rather prefer anesthetic, laughing gas and valium (the wonder drug). Anyhow I pay $5 to have them clean my teeth and apply this stuff which makes 'em pearly white.

As nightmarish as this suggestion is, I did try some amway whitening toothpaste and gum for a while that did work quite well, though my teeth were not that bad to begin with. I stopped using it as I started thinking it's basically just sanding your teeth down, I decided I could live with a little offwhite at that point lol

Is there anything you can do if you have a stain on your teeth(its a small "whitened" part, should have brushed my teeth better when I was younger:()? Thanks

cheap whitening that WORKS, and is SAFE. however it does cause your gums to sting for a little while afterwards. I do this about once a month.

put a couple of tablespoons of baking soda into a cup. Then poor a little bit of hydrogin peroxide on the baking soda (the stuff in a brown bottle)

now scoop some of that goop on your tooth brush (a hard one) and brush your teeth hard as hell. Really go rough on em.

THen rinse, gargle some mouthwash, and have a glass of water.

You will notice some whitening, but this does make your mouth sore for a little while.

Unless your brushing with Diamond, nothing is going to sand your teeth down.
