How are these games ?

Was wondering how this series is. I am thinking about picking up these titles but would like some input first. ?

I can get all three copies for a very cheap price. And just need to know if these games are worth playing.

I've only played the first in the series on PS2... and it was a long time ago. I remember liking it but thinking it was a little short.

i liked em a lot back when i played em, not sure how i would like them now.

i remember they were basically like Resident Evil games but in a Samurai world. The game controls a lot like the old school RE games in that it has fixed camera angles w/prerendered background, and that pressing UP on the controller makes you move forward, not literally UP on the screen.

i think it also had some elements similiar to devil may cry in that you collected orb type things when you killed people.

Keep that in mind. I got RE1 for the GameCube a few years ago and gave it away that same week because the controls were so terrible. They make the game unplayable.

Is it anything like Ninja Gaiden ? Those games were very hard.

Nah, I really think that I beat the first Onimusha in like 2 sittings... it wasnt difficult.

Agree with engraver, get the first and don't bother with the others. I liked the first one so much I went through it multiple times and completed everything(including a sweet panda suit). The second one I beat but didn't enjoy really, the 3rd one I couldn't bother finishing even.

I've only placed the first two, they were pretty fun. If you can get them for cheap, they're worth playing once.

Fun games, short, not as difficult as something like Ninja Gaiden, but wouldn't be considered easy either.

The first one was great. It had a really dark feel to it that the others didn't.

The later ones were more action oriented. While the controls got better, the series got worse. I never played the fourth one though.
