How are thermaltake volcano heatsinks? Need heatsink on a budget =P

Thermaltake products tend to focus more on 'looking good' and fudging noise specs than actually effectively cooling your cpu, I avoid the company like the plague anymore...
Check out a Vantec Aeroflow: better and much quieter cooling, with good looks to boot ;)
Also check out Thermalright's line, but they are a bit more expensive (example: $20 SK-7 + $7 Panaflo L1A).

I like the original Volcano 7 as a way to get a quiet 80mm heatsink cheaply, but if you need high performance, you're better off with one the models the other guys have recommended here.

That's for socket A. Thermaltake generally just has adaquate performance. That's all. So if you don't need good cooling, just want your CPU to not burn up, then TT is fine.

Yup, that's what I was implying. Cheap and adequate, but not a high performer.
